Exit BOINC Manager

This may seem a minor thing but I like to shut down the processing of wus for the purpose of maintenance or diagnostics on my computer.
I have noticed that the boinc ver. 7.16.1 does not have the "Exit BOINC Manager" selection under the "File" toolbar button. This is found on ver. 7.9.3 and maybe others.
The option allows one to shut down the whole app. Not only the manager but also the wus being processed.
So, is there something I am missing? Or has it been decided this option is not needed anymore?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Exit BOINC Manager

Go to Options - Other Options - Make sure the last setting is selected "Activate Manager Exit Window" or something like that.

Once you exit the BOINC Manager, it should prompt you to stop processing.

Additionally, you can also use the snooze option by going to the BOINC icon on the taskbar, right click and click on temporarily suspend computation. It will suspend computation for 60 minutes.

Re: Exit BOINC Manager

In 7.16.6 it is available in Simple View, switch from View menu drop-down.

Falconet,
"Enable Manager exit dialog?" is and has always been checked, but there is no prompt to stop processing.
I have no boinc icon on the taskbar.
Maybe I have a defective copy of boinc.

Re: Exit BOINC Manager

No Icon in the taskbar? What's your OS? Windows or Linux?

My BOINC install works as intended, I just tested exiting and selecting to remember the option of not showing the window, it worked properly. Then I went to the other options to re-enable the show the exit dialogue which had been since been disabled. I re-enabled it and it worked again.

If you are using Windows, there should be an icon on the task bar which works as I described in my previous post. If you are using Ubuntu or Linux Mint or another Ubuntu flavour, the icon is usually there but BOINC has to be opened. I don't think it works as I described, but I don't remember as I haven't used Linux in a while.
