Hi all!
OPNG tasks are running smoothly on my NVIDIA GPU - if I can get some. Now I'd like to utilize the Intel HD GPU in parallel, but the BOINC client does not see it. What I did so far: - enabled Intel and Nvidia GPU utilization in WCG settings - added <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> to cc_config.xml - installed the latest driver from Intel website (igfx_win10_100.9316) - enabled multi GPU support in BIOS - configured Intel GPU to use 1024 MB of memory in BIOS - connected additional Display to Intel video port - rebooted the system CLinfo shows: Number of platforms 2 Platform Name Intel(R) OpenCL HD Graphics Platform Vendor Intel(R) Corporation Platform Version OpenCL 3.0 ... Platform Name NVIDIA CUDA Platform Vendor NVIDIA Corporation Platform Version OpenCL 1.2 CUDA 11.2.135 ... Intel GPU isn't mentioned anywhere. I'm happy to provide more info if needed. What did I miss? |

Dredging back in my memory, the only other thing I can remember is: did you extend your Windows desktop onto the second monitor?
Also, my BOINC client shows: Starting BOINC client version 7.16.11 for windows_x86_64 The version doesn't matter, but 64-bit support might. |

Thank you, Richard, I'll try the BOINC client you mentioned.
----------------------------------------Yes, the Windows desktop has been extended to all three monitors (2 @ NVIDIA, 1 @ Intel) and windows can be moved between all monitors without issues. Edit: You made my day! Intel GPU turned up in the BOINC client 7.16.11 [Edit 1 times, last edit by ve3fld at Apr 13, 2021 1:58:38 PM] |

Do you have a monitor attached to the iGPU?
----------------------------------------For my Intel to get active i had to put a dummy plug to it (since i have no monitor connected to it), now it's running fine. On my wifes computer i attached the second monitor to the iGPU and after a reboot it started crunching. [Edit 2 times, last edit by Jorlin at Apr 20, 2021 8:40:03 PM] |

My personal experience with dual gpu's. My Acer Nitro 5 laptop has Intel 630 graphics and a GTX 1650. Boinc showed both gpu's on the event log. I only saw 1 gpu being used at a time. The Intel 630 was as slow as a CPU task. The GTX 1650 only needed 2-3 minutes to complete. I disabled the Intel 630 because of its slow speed. Every system is different though.

Hi,
----------------------------------------amd+intel laptop has no monitor and it's getting WUs for both GPUs. Intel UHD is in docking station, without a monitor, I'll connect a monitor to this to see if it helps. Third Intel GPU is connected via HDMI to av-receiver, which is connected to home cinema projector, these are usually powered off, so I guess I could try dummy here. Thanks for the tip! ps. Is there any other useful debugging flags, to see what's going on ? |

I have a 3770k with hd4000 on
and 2x 7970s When GPU wus first launched my boinc client would ask for tasks and wouldn't get any but it said there's work for intel gpus. So i turned it on and it's been a while now but I haven't seen one intel work unit. I turned on einstein and it runs einstein wu's just fine. So at the moment i have 3 cpu threads of opn1, 2 OPNG on GPUs, and 2 Einstein on intel Gpu (2x concurrency). TLDR; I don't get intel gpu WUs. My suspicion is it's because it's older. hd4000 |

I have a UHD Iris 540 and don't get any GPU work either. My NVIDIA GPU system does, so it's not a setting. Are they pushing Intel GPU-ready workunits right now?
