Squid, resends demand the same brand as the original.
Other than that, there are no separate queues. |

I have a ATI Radeon 5770 that is doing GPU WUs right now. While this card is old and slow it is opencl 1.2 capable and recognized by Boinc as so. Are you running this card under Linux or Windows? If it's Linux I'm interested in how you got it working. We could discuss this in a separate thread, if you like. ![]() |

The minimum requirements for the project is OpenCL 1.2. Your Mesa driver only supports 1.1. While Mesa is not fully OpenCL 1.2 compliant it is good enough for OPNG. You only need to get past the Maybe some one else here has found a guide on how to get the AMD GPUs working. Are you at the point where BOINC detects an OpenCL 1.1 device? Set some debug options:I have an old Radeon HD 6950 I'd like to get into service for WCG, but was also unable to get it working under Ubuntu 18.04. CLOVER_PLATFORM_VERSION_OVERRIDE=1.2 |

CLOVER_PLATFORM_VERSION_OVERRIDE=1.2 So I added Environment="CLOVER_PLATFORM_VERSION_OVERRIDE=1.2" to "/etc/systemd/system/boinc-client.service" and did a systemctl daemon-reload Now BOINC's event log shows: OpenCL: AMD/ATI GPU 0: AMD CAYMAN (DRM 2.50.0 / 5.4.0-67-generic, LLVM 10.0.0) (driver version 20.0.8, device version OpenCL 1.2 Mesa 20.0.8, 2048MB, 2048MB available, 768 GFLOPS peak) I'm curious if this will work... I'll keep you posted. ![]() |

I'd hope to see increase in GPU WUs to a point I could actually see one "live" :-)
----------------------------------------. Had to check the logs if I'd had any GPU work units.. and during four days, I had received four :-) Took 2 mins to complete each of them. |

You're seeing the work available for ATI/Intel because they are not selected to receive work in your profile settings. It's a quirk of the BOINC client and doesn't necessarily mean there is work available for those GPUs at the time you saw that message. It's very much hit and miss.

Well, between such little production and the script suckers at work, the kitties' GPU is still running cold.
----------------------------------------The kitties are not greedy, they would just like a little bit here and there. Maybe the project should limit GPU tasks sent per work request to 5 or so, to keep the script suckers at bay and give others more of a chance to get a little bit too. I agree Kittyman. I've stopped trying to get anything for my GTX980/iGPU HD4600 computer, and just shut it down.
Now only running an old(ish) Laptop, ASUS G75VW ROG, with a very weak GTX660M. It has only 2 Compute Units (from coproc_info.xml <max_compute_units>2</max_compute_units>), so it takes around, or sometimes over an hour, to crunch one task. But then, I'm retired and in no hurry. So far, it's been able though, to get new tasks when needed, and even build a small cache. |
