Thanks for the update. Trying to get some on my macbook and then waiting with my Nvidia gpus that already lined up in the waiting queue ready to rock'n'roll.
----------------------------------------Just took one of those intel GPU WUs on my macbook. Quickly modded it with a thermal pad to get contact to the heatsink, as this is on an old laptop and was cooking within seconds. But these workloads are at least for my situation on my laptop (2014 model) unsustainable. Completely unresponsive with thermals of the iGPU between 80 and ~98 degrees C. Estimated runtime around ~ 1h. I'll let this one run and finish, but then suspend new GPU tasks on there. I'll rather contribute with my 2 nvidia GPUs and suspect that they will do more good than my old intel based gpu. ![]() AMD Ryzen 3700X @ 4.0 GHz / GTX1660S Intel i5-4278U CPU @ 2.60GHz [Edit 2 times, last edit by bozz4science at Mar 5, 2021 8:27:00 PM] |

Note that I got this on Linux but similar PC running Wondows 7 64 bit appears OK.
----------------------------------------Both are Lenovo E50-00 systems got at different times. I will check further if identical. Other Linux systems also got same message. Paul.

Well I just finished my first one on the UHD Graphics 630 IGP of an i7-9700 machine (Ubuntu 20.04.2), in 52 minutes with only 17% CPU usage, and it is now PV.
I keep the default buffer of 0.1 + 0.5 days, and picked up work right away. I don't know how long that is as compared to the CPU versions, but it looks very worthwhile to me if we can do larger molecules on them. (Since this is the first time I have ever used the IGP for crunching, I first installed the OpenCl drivers: sudo apt-get install intel-opencl-icd). |

No dummy plug or monitor needed for me on my HD4600. I've never needed that for crunching. Now my monitor is on my GTX980, but only because the HD4600 makes inputs sluggish when having the monitor connected to it while crunching.
----------------------------------------That problem never occurred on OpenCL on SETI though. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Grumpy Swede at Mar 5, 2021 8:36:00 PM] |

No dummy plug or monitor needed for me on my HD4600. You do for Linux, or at least it used to be required. I normally use them on all my dedicated machines as a matter of routine. I don't think it was required for Windows, but I wouldn't trust anything related to drivers. PS - I think it was different for AMD and Nvidia also, though don't recall which way. Update:
HD 4600 was making no progress, so I suspended the task, and ran another Einstein@Home task. Ran normally, so driver recovery worked OK. On resuming WCG, driver crashed again. I've abandoned that test and aborted the tasks. Have added another host. Windows 7 again, HD 530 GPU. Seems to be running OK, but I get projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/wcgrid_beta29_autodockgpu_7.26_windows_x86_64__opencl_intel_gpu_102 -jobs OPNG_0022005_00122.job -input OPNG_0022005_00122.zip -seed 45922026 -wcgruns 2300 -wcgdpf 46and the warnings again. Host 7732946, will show up in the stderr for task 559101958 |

Strange Richard. My HD4600 Runs through them without any problems, other than cosmetic ones regarding checkpoint timings. They do finish OK and validates OK on the other Beta runs.

Got 16 for my HD4000. Two finished so far (1.36 and 1.65 hours). Did a bit of work on the PC at that time, so the variation in runtime is to be expected.
