Re: Saying Goodbye

I haven't checked the forums for awhile and I wish I checked it a long time ago. Seeing someone who contributed so much was an inspiration for me to do what I could and push forward. Thank you for all you've done for the community and for science and that truly will never go away.

I hope the time you have goes well and you are surrounded by those you love.

Re: Saying Goodbye

It is with deep regret that I have to inform you all that our esteemed team member and close friend OldChap (Mike) shuffled off this mortal coil on Monday 16th Aug, surrounded by his family and friends.
As long as our team exists, we'll keep his crunching account active, as we've done with other departed members.
He may be gone, but he'll never be forgotten.
regards,
SaM

Re: Saying Goodbye

RIP Mike, I am so sad the treatments did not work and that I did not find this forum thread earlier. I so rarely visit this forum section it seems. I didn't know you, but do recognize "Old Chap" from all over the forums.

Would have liked to tell you a few kind words about your contributions at WCG and that you will be missed by many - but always remembered!

My prayers and wishes of strength to your close ones.

Re: Saying Goodbye

OldChap, your body may be gone but your spirit is still with us.

I am still crunching as hard as I can to hopefully find an ultimate cure for all types of cancer. Maybe one day, the cancer that took you away will have the final solution that can make a difference!

Too many of my love ones have surrendered to this disease.

OldChap
All honors to you and condolences to the family.
The best we can do is going forward and crunching for science to win.
