rename devices under "device statistics"

This may have been suggested already. If not then please offer the possibility of renaming your working devices because my Android phones show only a letter/number code. That may be fine with only a couple of them. At the moment I got 9 hooked up and there are another 5 approching next week so I am losing oversight. And while we are at it, more statistics of your devices right in the list would be great, too! Like number of WU's completed yesterday and an average over the past 10 days, same with points. At the moment I have to click on every device individually to get that information and than do some calculations!

This list shows the number of results you returned day by day.

And it sums up all your devices.

Hopefully, this list fulfills your whishes for having a good overview on statistics.

I must admit, that I display this list on a Windows PC, but I strongly believe that this list
is available and visible on Android, too.

And if you go to Device statistics, which looks like the folloing,
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Device Statistics History

Installed/Registered Device:
or With Result(s) Returned:

Refresh

Click on a device name to view its statistics history.

Device Statistics

you can click on the device name, and then you will see a detailed device statistic day by day, like the following:

12/19/2020 0:001:19:38:09 10,005 18

To be honest, I do not see that more than a device statistic day by day is feasable.

Maybe I could give good hints.

Greetings
MS

Newest BOINC on Android app allows naming the device, this will carry through for the device's history.

No, it doesn't! smile I would like the individual number of tasks completed in one day by each device also displayed on the "device statistics" page so you can see at one glance how your devices are performing. This can be helpful to determine if one device has performance issues.

"Newest BOINC on Android app allows naming the device, this will carry through for the device's history."

I got BOINC version7.4.53 installed but I can't find any setting which allows changing the name of the device. Where did you find that?

You need to install the BETA version of BOINC. If Android, go to the Play Store, find BOINC and sign up to the BETA test program.

Regarding device results per day, you do have that option:

My Contribution --> Device Statistics --> Click on the name of the device you want.

You must remember that some contributors have literally hundreds of devices. It would not be appropriate to display that amount of data on the front screen so it is moved one level down. It is then available for those that want it but does not disrupt access for those that don’t.

You need to install the BETA version of BOINC. If Android, go to the Play Store, find BOINC and sign up to the BETA test program.

Sometimes you can hardly blink and the dev. version gets promoted well before the 14 stay period, 7.16.3 has been in 'testing' since 10.10.2019, soon 15 months. It's stable, have had it running since... 10.2019 (nothing in the app about box says it's a beta anyhow, but yes, think it's only when you subscribe to the beta channel).

Google is going to drop BOINC anyhow in it's present form, so they published in general terms... same as Apple, not allowing the app to download other executables, it all has to be packaged in 1.
