Since there is no software chat room I'm posting this in general chat.
----------------------------------------My dedicated cruncher sitting idle with just the operating system running toggles between 0 and 1% cpu usage, which I think is pretty good. I run puppy 64 and am posting to show how little overhead it uses [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 31, 2020 1:30:37 AM] |

The nice thing about Puppy is it will run on quite minimalist hardware and still perform OK. I have put in on an old Pentium M system (which is way too slow for any project on WCG) and it worked well. I could surf the internet, read my email and work my spreadsheets.
