Uh, the phrase "World Community Grid is currently sending out generation 28" in that text doesn't tell that much for people who don't know the total number of generations, I'm afraid. Maybe it would be a good idea to add the total known number of generations, which is 183 (365 days divided by 2), If I'm right.

There are 183 generations in a year, but we will need to verify with the researchers that they are planning on running a full year (and only one year) before we can definitively state the total number of generations for the project.

Please note that I have been posting % completed under 'Work avaiable' (original poster's spelling mistake) each time there has been a change of generation. That has been based on 183 generations. We are currently at 15.8%. Mike |

0-28 completed gives 15.85% of 183 iterations/generations.

Please note that, as I stated in my post above, we have not yet confirmed with the researchers that they are planning on running one full year (or only one full year), and that any statements about percentage complete are not approved by the researchers or World Community Grid.

Exactly, who but you would know if #28 (29th iteration) is complete also. We do the equivalent of 1 iteration in about 3 days, but my first #27 came on the 9.27 and the last #27 came on 10.2. 4.5 days between the first and the last. |
