When I registered, I was offered a download for a client. However, I got redirected here by another project using BOINC, for which I already installed BOINC client, and I don't want to install another instance. How can I add manually those projects to my existing BOINC installation or can I run the installer and it will get automatically added to my existing BOINC client? I'm confused...

Welcome to WCG.
----------------------------------------Just add WCG as a project within BOINC using the email and password you used for this forum. WCG software is just a skinned version of BOINC and either can be used for WCG and other projects. Paul.
