Hi:
Anybody want to give an educated guess as to when we begin to get to the bottom of the workunits barrel? Clive |

Extrapolating from this page there are about 170 days to go.

It is a bit difficult to predict with the major challenges occurring, but unless the scientists create additional batches it should be pretty soon.
----------------------------------------Potential total tasks: 143 batches X 100,000 tasks/batch = 14.3 M X 1.15% (for initial quorum 2, resends) = 16.45 M Total tasks completed since restart: 11.55 M Timing of completion will depend on how much teams in the Birthday challenge favor SCC over other projects and how accurate my 15% factor is. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by supdood at Nov 9, 2020 12:46:37 PM] |

Hi:
Thanks for your replies. I figured that at the current rate of WUs being returned that this stage of SCC1 would be finished within the next three weeks. Only time will tell. Clive |

I agree with you Clive only time will tell when the project will complete work provided. I am thinking with roughly 170 days to go they will be adding more work. We will have to wait and watch this space

Hi: I hope not :-(Thanks for your replies. I figured that at the current rate of WUs being returned that this stage of SCC1 would be finished within the next three weeks. Only time will tell. Clive Need 144.25 days to reach Emerald & at the rate I'm crunching (45.5 days per week), should hit it on or around 5th Dec. |

It looks like the end has been reached before we had hoped:

It looks like the end has been reached before we had hoped: SCC News I will probably fall just short of the 5 year diamond. ![]() I'm stepping on the gas then, I might able to reach sapphire before the project ends. I hope it will have reduced priority because still need 10 days or more to get there. ![]() ![]() |

As the article states, "Once all of the work units for the EWSR1 have been completed, the project will pause while the research team finalizes their decision on another new target and builds new work units. We don't yet have a timeline for the re-start, but will let everyone know as we have more information from the researchers." |
