cool There's a bank promotion that essentially gives ten percent off your electric bill.

I used it and can confirm it works.
United States only.
Rules say forum should not be used for commercial purposes.
Also, Ten percent back is a lot of money for some of our most active donors.
Can I talk about it without annoying the moderators?

I don't work there but they do have "refer a friend" bonuses.

There's no moderators, just the owners.
I'm all ears, do tell.

Re: There's a bank promotion that essentially gives ten percent off your electric bill.

Okay Aurum420, here's a cut and paste from my facebook post to my friends:

Hey, remember a few weeks back when I said I thought I found a way to get a permanent 10% cash back on my electric bill (and as a bonus, all the other utilities LADWP handles)?

I was right, and it wasn't a scam, and I got reimbursed.
Anybody in the United States is eligible.
Plus it helps the environment.

Step one: Set up an account with this online, environmentally friendly bank (Aspiration). There are free and paid accounts; both come with cashback but the paid one comes with more. You can always start as a free customer and see how you like it.

Kindly use the promo link and they'll plant 25 trees, and, like most banks, will give you a small signup bonus if you use the card to spend money.

Step Two:
Set up an account at Arcadia Power, to let them be your middleman. They (A) intercept your power bill, (B) bill your card exactly what you would have paid the power company anyway, (C) pay for carbon offsets out of their own pocket, and (D) mail a check to your power company. Like the bank, it's a free-or-paid model. They make money if you opt for their other services, which vary depending on location.
They've got a cashback deal with the bank, so autopay with your Aspiration debit card.
Kindly use the promo link and they'll knock ten bucks of your first power bill, and ten bucks off my next one.

I'll be happy to clarify anything you'd like to know, just keeping it simple in case the post doesn't last long.

Aurum420, did everything work out without an issue?

Promo code is showing up as unused.
