Why Gridcoin in Challenge
Why is Gridcoin allowed in the challenge when condition 2 states 2- Not to be a team rewarding the distributed computing of its volunteers financially.

The THOR challenge is open to all WCG team worldwide, the THOR pure challenge is only open to teams that abide by the statement you refer to.

I had to reread the front page, but as you notice there is two tables listing team positions.

There are two concurrent challenges:

  • The main THOR Challenge, where any team (including Gridcoin) is allowed to participate.
  • The THOR Challenge Pure, which has restrictions on participation, including the one you listed.

The rules for the two challenges are details in this post.

This post explicitly lists Gridcoin as ineligible for the THOR Challenge Pure.
