Hi, my Acronis Active Protection is flagging 7 files in the WCG/BOINC client as possible ransomware. So I've uninstalled the software and deleted the BOINC folder.
Kind regards, Paul Here's a couple of screen snips from the alerts: ![]() |

Obviously a false positive.
----------------------------------------Here's the VirusTotal analysis of the file in your first image: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/c01584622...f2218605ad9a1fa/detection Acronis itself says it's clean. Your AV probably didn't like something and it's behavioural component flagged it, I guess. WCG is an IBM initiative and all the software has undergone a security review by IBM. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz [Edit 2 times, last edit by Mosqueteiro at Aug 25, 2020 8:29:43 AM] |
