I think you misunderstood my post, the quote came from that specific post I was pointing to, it states that results will be posted daily in this thread. I thought the account managers (ie Gridcoin) were excluded from the challenge? Meh.... they aren't a real team anyway. I can't let you write such a thing on this thread, Chooka. The Gridcoin team is a real team. Whether we are for or against the remuneration of distributed computing is one thing, but they contribute just like the other teams to the advancement of scientific research. CRUNCHERS SANS FRONTIERES and the THOR Challenge have great respect for the Gridcoin team. In addition, the Gridcoin team is not excluded from the THOR Challenge. It is just not eligible for THOR Challenge Pure, like many other crypto, professional and academic teams. |

It is just not eligible for THOR Challenge Pure, like many other crypto, professional and academic teams. LOL...thank you for the correction on the THOR pure challenge. We will agree to disagree then. I have don't have respect for anyone in Gridcoin. They don't fit the meaning of volunteer computing.... or to quote the BOINC homepage - "It can be used for volunteer computing (using consumer devices) or grid computing (using organizational resources)" Anyway, I've had this argument before. You won't change my opinion of people paid to crunch. I guess science benefits but they shouldn't be in a team challenge. Perhaps the THOR pure is where I should be applying my processing power. |
