hey there,
----------------------------------------last night my pc calculated workloads from 1st August 2020. Then BOINC added workload with termination date 30th July, which would be fine, BUT instead of stopping later ending but already calculating workload, it continued to calculate without effect. For example a Covid-19-task computet for 12h but still was at 57,68%. so I wasted ressources :( Did I configured something wrong? I use win10 prof with latest updates and installed the Boinc Agent just four days ago. Wasn't able to find a post that would help me so far, so I asked here. Thanks in advance! What do you mean you wasted resources? Did you cancel the task?

no, since I was in bed.
But next morning I found out that the agent added new workload, having a new End-Time that lies before the already executing tasks and thei continue to run, but their percentage isn't rising anymore. when I stop them, they get the "DELAYED" status. |

Have you tried a reboot? Does it get the work units back working properly?

Unfamiliar with the term "DELAYED" in BOINC. Is this some translation you made from a foreign language BOINC interface as when you stop a task it would be 'Suspended'. Yes, than the progress percent freezes.
BTW if you have suspended tasks no new work will be allowed to be fetched. End times don't determine the processing sequence, it's First In First Out (FIFO), unless BOINC concludes there a deadline conflict in there not being enough time for all the work to complete in time, then the scheduler switches to Earliest Deadline First (EDF). |

If you want to micro manage, you can suspend all units with Aug+ dates which are listed in front of your July 30 date and let it/them get started then resume all suspended units.
You only need to monitor the situation to get the desired effect. |

If it crunch for way too long, you can always try restart the PC and it will resume calculate from last checkpoint
Sometimes some odd ball tasks will stall and a restart usally solves it |
