Re: New web app to monitor results

My Firefox configuration is relatively secure. However there is no real reason for the web app not to operate correctly.
I made a review of my security setting and I cannot find the cause for the window remain empty (only the top banner is showed).
I refuse to use Chrome for data privacy reasons. I use Vivaldi as alternative browser whereas Firefox is my main browser.
We will see how the web app will evolve.
Cheers,
Yves

Re: New web app to monitor results

Awesome development project! Works like a charm on Firefox and Safari for me. Maybe you could add a feature to collapse/expand the stats to each WU that is listed now on the main page. Maybe for a more compressed look just list the projects and the respective numbers of WU in a table (in progress vs. validated vs. pending etc. like you did on the main page)

Thanks for sharing!

Re: New web app to monitor results

Regarding Firefox, I notice some progress: some numbers as well as the device names are now showed. I guess that the trouble is caused because the information come from a third site (WCG); as previously mentioned, "no-script" is not activated.
I notice as well that the device report is not consistent with the reality, for example: 12 WUs are reported "in Progress" although 31 WUs are effectively "in Progress".
This bug impact all devices, even devices with only 5 WUs "in Progress".
Cheers,
Yves

Re: New web app to monitor results

I updated that first post and added a link to the source code, for the security minded.

I can't make any promises about how well this will work with different browsers or extensions. If you are using a browser that blocks javascript, or noscript, what are you doing lol? Web apps run on Javascript, and this will absolutely not work if you're deliberately blocking JS execution.

I've tested in Chrome, Firefox and Safari and everything is working as expected in those browsers. Chromium, Vivaldi, Brave and other Blink Engine browsers should also work as expected.

Re: New web app to monitor results

Hi lovalloj,
on one of my machines, it seems to be OK with Firefox.
I observe following:
  • The animation for the "in Progress" WUs costs a lot of CPU resources (over 25%) on both Vivaldi as well as Firefox. I did experienced similar behaviour in the past with animated "weather applets".
  • The week view is not available for my machines.

Cheers,
Yves

Re: New web app to monitor results

Hi KerSamson, thanks for the feedback. I disabled the animation: any 'benefit' of having it certainly isn't worth the CPU cost.

For the week view, could you try doing a hard refresh (ctrl/cmd + shift + r) and let me know if you see it then?

Re: New web app to monitor results

Hi lovalloj,

Mine says 1000 results available.
A rough estimate of all my results in all states is 1200.

Re: New web app to monitor results

!!! Updated feedback !!!
---
Hi lovalloj,
at WCG, I have currently over 1'500 WUs in the list but only 1'000 in the WebApp.
I still see inconsistencies in the reporting.
I've tried your recommendation to hard refresh (on Vivaldi) without any noticeable change: week view is still not visible.
I even cleared all browser data in cache with the same results.
It is a huge improvement to stop animation. Now the laptop remains cooler.
Cheers,
Yves

PS: I will follow-up later on Firefox.
It runs on Firefox 79.0 in the same way than on Vivaldi, excepted that on Firefox the up and down "arrows" are not showed but the corresponding text descriptor "keyboard_arrow", likewise for "account_circle".
