OpenPandemics - Covid-19: More Info on the Forli Lab Website

Hello everyone,

The research team has put together an early (but very comprehensive) update on OpenPandemics - COVID-19. This includes information on the virtual screening strategy and details about the SARS-CoV-2 targets that have been considered so far. Check in out on the Forli Lab website.

Thanks to all volunteers who are supporting this project.

Thanks for the update. Very interesting.

Suggest this is posted as a project update and thus added to the News sub-forum and sent on an e-mail.

Still hoping we get a GPU status update :)

Here you go: https://forlilab.org/opn-update_07-20/

They changed this https://forlilab.org/opn-update_07-20/ on the URL.
Used to be https://forlilab.org/opn-update-7-20/

Edit: Per Twitter, they added some animations and the link works again.

Re: OpenPandemics - Covid-19: More Info on the Forli Lab Website

Thanks for a great update! I wish we got such detailed updates from all project scientists.

One piece of information that would be nice to have (maybe WCG techs can add it to this thread?): What are the batch number ranges that correspond to the three initial targets from the update?

Just a simple Target 1= Batch 0000001-0007000, Target 2=Batch... etc. would be really helpful for us to understand overall project progress and what we are working on.

supdood,

I agree, Reminds me of Dr. Perryman's (FightAIDS@home phase 1, GOFAM) updates.

From the update, we know everything we are crunching right now is from the "papain-like protease (PLpro, or nsp3)". We also know that each target should be around 50,000 batches, so I guess we are on batch 5700ish of a total of 50,000 for the first target, "papain-like protease (PLpro, or nsp3)"
