I've never succeeded attach WCG twice at the same time to the same client. You're not using some kind of accountmanager like BAM which automates attaching?
At any rate to correct, you'd have to follow the instructions and detach/remove from both WCGs and then attach to again via http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ , but I recommend using the attach via the project pick list. Certainly I'd restart the client in case it got confused. |

I just had all three of my computers add WCG a second time. They were all using https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ and added http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ I happen to be a BAM user.

I've always attached to a project via Boinc's project list. Exiting Boinc & rebooting seems to have cleared the issue. I'm putting it down to gremlins trying to stop me getting my 1st ever Emerald.

Just checked my other 2 rigs, both running normal.

I just had one do this as well. Exiting the manager and restarting cleared the issue at the expense of aborting all of my in progress tasks for that machine.

Funky, just a few days ago someone was lamenting about https v http at WCG. The log at top says to remove all WCG and then use http address. Maybe the client is unable to see they're the same www, but somehow I think to know where gremlin sits. I was not briefed, so I have deniability of knowing :O)))
----------------------------------------Edit: And something else popped up in the news which became a subject here on the forums... ca-bundle.crt Remember when we warned in February Apple will crack down on long-life HTTPS certs? It's happening: Chrome, Firefox ready to join in, too https://www.theregister.com/2020/06/30/tls_cert_lifespan/ [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 30, 2020 11:34:01 AM] |

Interesting. Had me wondering as to why my other rigs never experienced the glitch. Could it have been O/S specific?
Laptop running Mint 19.3, desktop running Win 10 & the rig that suffered is running Win 7. |

So far it has not happened to any of my computers. Thanks for the warning though.
