I went to tiny url and processed my recruiting link:
https://join.worldcommunitygrid.org?recruiterId=1110197 Now the link looks like this: https://tinyurl.com/yaea3y7j Not so off-putting as the long link. I added "Be a hero" and made it my signature for all out going emails: Be a hero https://tinyurl.com/yaea3y7j I'm hoping it will spark a little curiosity and people will check it out. Plus every email I send is a mini advertisement for WCG. I'm hoping others involved will do the same with their recruiter id as it will help get the word out without raising some ones hackles |

If you're a registered member at tinyurl you can even personalize your url, long as that personalization has not been taken by someone else so you can call it https://tinyurl.com/MyXYZTeam (can't remember if there's a character limit). Careful, those urls are forever AFAIK.

I dislike 'tinyurl's - rarely click on them. Makes me uncomfortable not knowing what page is going to open. OK maybe if you trust the person who created it, but I see too many from people I know nothing about.

OK found it, it's bit.ly which is 5 chars shorter than tinyurl.com. Allows you to cram even more links in your signature.
