is it just me or does each batch contain a lot more work units than before? I am seeing batches reach over 10000 units. Very similar to the first batches a few months ago.

I don't have figures for the batch sizes, but they were consistent up to late October when WCG rejected about 1500 units back to the scientists. Since then, we have been getting through the batches faster but not returning any more units. Therefore the batches must have been smaller. If they have increased the batch sizes, it will be 2 or 3 weeks before it becomes noticeable in my spreadsheet and ThreadRipper's graph. Mike |

The current 1000 batches is already passed its expected end date but we are only halfway through. You seem to be right, GunZi.

We have been averaging about 4.4 days per 1000 batches and about 1.1 million results per day.
So,each thousand batches has included about 5 million results. That is 5000 results per batch. I have been getting mostly singletons but others are only getting quorum 2s, so, say, 4000 individual units per batch. I have recently been seeing some units numbered over 10000 and even one over 20000, so we seem to be running bigger batches at the moment. Mike |
