Hello,
I am typing this because I have an anxiety regarding some results that one of my machines submitted recently that may contain errors, due to a hardware issue caused by improper setting that developed recently and that I have just now resolved. I was only aware of an issue by checking my event logs and seeing a bugcheck. The issue was an improper setting in the memory timings. I read the help section and I understand that the machine would have become trusted as it has been running stably for months now. I am asking because I truly care about the results of my machines and the projects being run. The machine was computing entirely for the OpenPandemics project, and the issue had developed in the last 7 days. I can't say for certain there were errors in the computation (there were no "computation errors" or any errors in the log in the client) but my anxiety is essentially leading me to seek reassurance that there won't be any negative impact on the research if my machine did indeed submit a result with an error - even with the replication of the WU being only 1. I apologise if my question is stupid or I posted in the wrong area. Thanks for your time, Ashley |

No worries, tasks get verified randomly for reliable hosts and always for not so reliable devices. Reliable is when the rolling last 10-20 returned results were validated. If that rolling validation is broken, the client goes back to not being reliable until that sequence of 10-20 is reached again. If errors are frequent on a science, eventually the daily quota gets reduced to 1 per day for a host and that remains so until the problem is resolved.
