Hey all, I have four Android devices and none of them are working that well. The average WU time is more than 10 hours. Some of them are taking 17-24 hours. Normal?
----------------------------------------Four devices I am trying to use. Newer Lenovo Tab4 TB-8504F (4 core) Most work units per bang. surprising. Sony XZ3 - (8 core Snapdragon 845) despite being newer, it is slow, very few WUs reported older. Sony Xperia X performance (4 core snapdragon 820) gets hot, very slow. Asus Zenfone 3 Max (8 core snapdragon 625) was good at beginning, then slowed down, no WU reported back in 24 hours. Kind of frustrated that WUs are taking so long, and sometimes if I have to check them, it goes from like 96% done back to like 90% done on pause as it loses some of the crunch. I don't know what happens, not saved enough? I don't know I have that set at like 30 seconds... Help!  |

Totally normal, just now one finishing in 30 hours and in Beta had one of 39 hours.

Oh dear... ok... yeah I had one beta one just before covid19 was released on one of my devices took around 30 hours also.. I was lucky to get that one in before the deadline. They only gave me 2 days to get the WU back. I hope that WCG could maybe increase the time a bit to return projects on andriod? Cause I use my phone more, so it often suspends projects, or when I get a notification it probably suspends it also and then I lose 5-10% of the fold... sigh... frustrating...
----------------------------------------I also hate living my phone charging all the time.... it actually hurts the battery and reduces the life of the project. This has been proven by engineers. I know many of them that develop these phones, they said do not leave them plugged in all day it will kill the battery! EDIT: I actually have reduced the cores from 8 to 4 or even 3. And on quads I reduced to 2-3. I thought maybe it would help. It did, kinda sorta but not really. lol On OPN it is slow. cancer.. I forget already.
