Twice I have had a blank screen, with World Community Grid in the lowr left, but frozen...could not do anything. Assume this might relate to screen save and have turned that off...we'll see tomorrow.

It's okay, you don't need the screensaver.

Since I consider that any screensaver - excepted blank screen - consumes CPU resources for useless purpose, I always disable screensaver on my machines ... and I do not really experience troubles with machines even crunching full time for WCG.
