My 3900X is getting paid 8-9 Boinc points per hour per thread. That equivalent to about 5000 Boinc points per day, which is about 1/6 of what it used to be. Anyone else seeing the same or is it just me? Yes. I am getting a wide range of points per hour, anywhere from 50 points per hour on the high end to 3 points per hour on the low end. Maybe it will stabilize at some point in time. Most of them appear to be less than 10 points per hour. Cheers

Yes, all over the board. This happens every time a new project comes out or one comes out of hibernation until more results are returned to create a bigger sample size for the credit granting process. I've seen a low of less than 2 BOINC credits per hour to a high of nearly 100. It will even out.

I think I will wait till the point stabilizes before running SCC. Hopefully all the WUs are not gone by then, lol.

If you step out when they get longer and back in when they get shorter, the credits per hour go through the roof, something like that. |

If you step out when they get longer and back in when they get shorter, the credits per hour go through the roof, something like that. BOINC is adjusting. The first downloads came in with an expected run time of about 4 minutes. The actual run time is between 45 minutes and 2 hours. Needless to say it downloaded about 200 to 300+ units per machine, all with a cache setting of 1.5 days. It has now adjusted to an expected run time of 37 minutes. Given another day, it should stabilize around about 1 hour and 10 minutes or so. Then the queues should come back down to a reasonable level. It also looks like the points granted are stabilizing gradually. I'll know more tomorrow. Cheers

Great news. Is there an estimate of how much work there will be? Paul. I would love to know this too. ![]() |

Wow. First work my machines have received in almost 2 years, apart from a beta last July. These run an old enough binary to run on my linux boxes!

Just crunch and forget about any badge goals, not everyone's purpose here. |

Great news. Is there an estimate of how much work there will be? Paul. At the moment researchers have generated through batch 3924. There is the possibility there might be more work generated before we reach 3924, but there is no definitive answer on that at this point. Seippel |
