I believe that I have not received any work since the OS upgrade. What can I do to resolve this?
Thanks, Jim |

There is currently no work available, but new targets for Work Units are in the workings. It may take months before we see new WUs, however.

Haven't seen any new tasks since 2023-06-21T08:46:29. The well seems to be running dry.

An observation for those who see this thread and may not have followed discussions elsewhere (not you, Adri!):
It may well be that there's no more "new" work now until WCG and the scientists sort out the many, many MyoD1-C tasks that can't run because of that one-character error in that data file. Given how long the supply of MyoD1-A/B work units continued after the errors started to show up, it [sadly] seems quite likely that we have exhausted the viable work units that formed part of the same data feed. Given the time difference, I think we have to wait a few hours to see if there's any movement (or any information given out!); I'm not sure where they're most likely to see user warnings at present, though :-) Cheers - Al. P.S. As for resuscitating a necro-thread -- it's not too bad if the thread was short (like this one) but it can be a pain if someone does it with a long thread :-) |

Given how long the supply of MyoD1-A/B work units continued after the errors started to show up, it [sadly] seems quite likely that we have exhausted the viable work units that formed part of the same data feed. I wonder if this is more speculation or more wishful thinking.... Given the time difference, I think we have to wait a few hours to see if there's any movement (or any information given out!); I'm not sure where they're most likely to see user warnings at present, though :-) Well, it is now noon on this side of the continent, which would make it 3pm in Toronto and still crickets from WCG Towers... 3 resends arrived in the last 2 hours.
We can specul;ate all we want as to what is happening but it will not provoke a response unless they want to tell us. Mike |

3 resends arrived in the last 2 hours. Unfortunate but true... We can specul;ate all we want as to what is happening but it will not provoke a response unless they want to tell us. Mike While I had just a couple of days ago up to 95% or so of the WUs on my various hosts being SCC1, as for today, this is down to less than 5%... And WCG Towers still ain't talking. (That's the most common, constant "feature" for the last year) Ralf |
