Re: New FightAIDS@Home Phase 2 work units

Hey uplinger / Keith,

Thanks for your continued vigilance on the forums and keeping the backend running. Had an idea, since there are some questions that keep coming up. For FAHB, maybe you could create a pinned forum post regarding the one day deadlines so any questions about it can just be linked to that? Same with ARP and HSTB regarding limited workflow (at least for now). Wondering if that might save ya some headache laughing

Re: New FightAIDS@Home Phase 2 work units

So yesterday I completed FAH2_ 002734_ zinc15066577_ 000001_ 000084_ 009_ 0--

That's nine generations in seven days.
I don't know if it's folks who've opted into FAH2 only and then tuned out or if it's badge hunters looking for a second chance at a higher badge, but I'm thankful either way.
We're averaging 11,500 returns a day over Christmas/New Years.
If we keep that up we'll reach a million returns after 87 days.
It's good to see a project approach its theoretical maximum speed!

Re: New FightAIDS@Home Phase 2 work units

I have a couple generation 11's but also did a generation 5 yesterday.

It seems that there will be a clean-up period to catch up lagging threads.

I've been wondering if there is a way to direct lagging threads to reliable hosts to catch them up.

Looks like the continuous stream that kept 2 threads busy here since project restart has dried up, last received 17:12 UTC on Dec. 31 and done.

That's nine generations in seven days.

Finished a generation 13 task yesterday. And it was already a retry smile

Re: New FightAIDS@Home Phase 2 work units

Are these new FAHB WUs still flowing?
Since inception, I have received zero/nul/no/0 of these for any of 28 active crunching threads.
I have received only MCM, MIP and 1 or 2 HST WUs in this period.

[Edit:] Got my first new-series FAHB WU last night. Done & dusted. [/edit]

Yes, at a rate of about 11,000 a day though 5000 were promised (but then 5000 at quorum 2 is 10,000). And no, no trouble getting them, sort of. Doing about 8.5 a day on 2 threads, per app_config restriction. Pretty much max i.e. 24 hour thread coverage.

Some progressing at almost 2 steps a day, with whatever 150+ generations, maybe be 180 depending how the scientists decide thing are developing, we'll be finished long before the year is over. Not bad.

Re: New FightAIDS@Home Phase 2 work units

For project completion I'd be concerned about the lowest generations being worked. Based on what's been said I think all the cells need to make 150 generations. I did a generation 005 just a couple days ago..
