Why am I still retired?

I have stopped doing WCG, but I have come back now and have returned several results. Why does my status still say joined-retired?

Perhaps you are on a different team now than you were before, if any.

restof is correct. You will appear as retired from any team you were a member of that you quit unless you join the team again.

Re: Why am I still retired?

jojorules --

What display are you looking at that shows you as retired? I seen the term "retired" actually appearing in a display as an item one could select when viewing the statistics for a team as illustrated below.
Team Member Details and Statistics

Sorted By:
Total Run Time | Points Generated | Results Returned |
Member Name | Status (Current/Retired)

Could you cut/paste from the display you are seeing yourself as retired? Perhaps some other statistical display uses the term.

Best regards,

Join one. They can use the processing cycles for their statistics, and there's no member statistics penalty. Many teams have several "silent crunchers" contributing to the overall numbers.

Heres a copy of where it says i am retired:

Team History and Statistics

Team Name Status
Joined-Retired Total Run Time

And also (probably spamming) but is there any "good" teams to join?

Re: Why am I still retired?

jojorules --

There are several good teams out there, but they are not allowed to recruit in any forum other than the "Teams" forum. I would suggest that you visit that forum and check out the team threads there to decide which, if any, you might wish to join. Some of the teams have their own web sites, others have their own forums -- they are all contributing to the community by donating their spare cycles to the World Community Grid. You may decide to join one, but it is not an absolute necessity.

-- Best Regards,

It's not a necessity, but a waste otherwise. The only member and the captain of this "good" team retired so is doing no recruiting.

jojo,

Those are the column headings. The phrase 'joined-retired' just indicates that the values in the column below represent the date you joined a team and the date you 'retired' from the team. If you are currently active on the team, then your 'retired' field will say 'current'.

You are currently active on the team you belong to and the row for your team should state that.
