Mike.Gibson, has that device downloaded its first arp1 work unit? It's possible the device won't "know" what arp1 is in app_config.xml until it downloads its first work unit for that project. That way the project is initialized and defined in client_state.xml.

app_config is a restricting tool Any not mentioned would be unrestricted. What is really curious is that the messages we received are so different. I have been successfully restricting mcm1 for a long time but your message doesn't recognise it whereas mine has it in the list. Conversely, mine doesn't recognise arp1 whereas yours does. Something weird is happening! Mike Not weird. I have no mcm1 tasks and app anymore though it's listed in app_config.xml. After a while BOINC does a cleanup, but in my case it was actually because I did a project detach/attach to get rid of any legacy (requires a app_config.xml backup, else it's lost too). |

That must be it because I haven't managed to download one yet although I have been trying since yesterday. Another case of misleading messages.

Pointed out 3 times in this thread ;o)
"Of course assume the actual arp1 app has been downloaded, for if not, that is what generates the error." |
