I'm mostly ignoring the step progress number, rather go by the validation statistics which have been on the up to 'record' numbers nearing 12000 a day, or 6000 removing the quorum 2 redundancy.

Not sure how many blocks there are in a step set, it will have been printed somewhere, but suppose there's several tens of thousands. Suppose 40,000 See below, 35,500 blocks or 71,000 validated results for each generation would at present pace take less than a week. If 161 are left to be done, that's 136 weeks to go, without interruption. At the moment, getting a new one downloaded within 10 minutes from reporting a completed one i.e. the feeder has seemingly no shortage.
