Re: Work Available

I am out for a day or two now. So I assume they are slowing down in terms of the production of WUs

Re: Work Available

They are restricting the availability to generations up to 141, so as those 141's complete, there are fewer and fewer to go out.

In the last day, only 1,197 were validated of which 6 were extremes and 10 were accelerated.

Re: Work Available

I still have 11 in progress but they must all have time step modifications as they are all running longer than normal

If you get a chance, could you please let us know the WU numbers so we can have a look at how they progress?

Cheers - Al.

Re: Work Available

Did the validator fall over? Mine is the last one, and it's still showing as Pending Validation even though the other two validated.

Please have a look at the progress column for these units and tell us what intervals they progress with. The normal timeStep would have intervals of 0.0208333% rounded to 0.020% or 0.021%

Coincidentally we both had the same workunit and there was nothing special to notice; a runtime of 7 hours is quite normal for that device of mine:
workunit 670789407
ARP1_0028707_141_0 Fedora Linux Valid 2025-02-23T21:04:54 2025-02-24T06:58:05 6.44/6.48 624.6/771.2
ARP1_0028707_141_1 Linux Pop Valid 2025-02-23T21:05:09 2025-02-24T20:17:17 22.82/22.87 917.8/771.2

If, as you say, 'they are all running longer than normal', could it be that you are running most of them all at the same time while the number of threads on your device is quite low?

Mike, although I've not been 'trawling the threads on a daily basis' - and thus, there's a huge chance that I may have missed it, is there a particular reason why they're restricting the generations up to 141?

Okay, I can understand the need to 'catch up', but that could also be done at the same time as progressing up to generation (say) 145 - or even further. If my memory serves me correctly, each generation covers 2 days, and thus, generation 141 = day 282 of a full year, and thus, we've still 'qiute some way to go'.

Re: Work Available

I'm guessing their system isn't fully functional at the moment, so they are sending out a limited amount of ARP WUs. We told them that when you can't give us many WUs, that you should send out the earlier generation ones first. It looks like they heard us.
