Got one ARP1-task running. Certainly "odd", all the 12 ARP1 WUs that I got "assigned" so far (and two that I know are actually running by now) have a deadline of 11/6, so that would be 7 days ( I think in the distant past the allotted time window for a return used to be 10 days for ARP1, different from all other WCG projects)...* Output of 'wcgresults -N1CEWORDS': Isn't that odd, a deadline of 1.5 days? Maybe it's not (*1), because there's a lot of catching up to do.  Correction: One of the WUs that I got, the first one actually, which is also one of the two that are already running and not stuck in downloading, does have a 11/1 deadline, which it might just be able to make... as it is a slower system. I have an ARP task stuck downloading, with a Nov. 6 deadline. It's good to see an ARP task again, but not good to see the download problems again.

So far, all of my WUs that are due on 11/1 are resends (_2). Must have been left over status from the shutdown in 2022.

I just kept clicking retry pending transfers and most went away . Not sure where or if I am going to get dinged for them . Only got 1 thats hung at 11.73% finely got 2 done . Not sure I want to try any more .

Not sure I want to try any more . Just let it retry on its own,it will eventually download the necessary files and start crunching that ARP1 WU...Now that the flood gates have been opened (prematurely, the announcement stated Nov.4th as the start date), it will probably take the better part of the day until all the hoarders got their queues filled and all the "normal" folks will be able to get their share (if any is still available)... By that time the uploads will probably have started. Then there will be stuck uploads and downloads

I think the main problem is the download of the new executable is needed by everyone. Hopefully, we get past that in a day or so.

It should get better as queues are filled. I find it better to make a shorter queue now and lengthen it slowly. much better to be downloading pieces of one WU at a time, then 5 at a time.
It will be interesting to see if they keep the 7 day deadline. |
