Downloads still coming and now up to generation 141.
But why not send out the extreme and accelerated generations? Mike |

There is a news update explaining that these are previously generated ARPs that didn't get sent before due to an error and not "new" ARPs. ARP is still in a pause state.

But why not send out the extreme and accelerated generations? Mike,Might it be worth raising this question (perhaps with a little background in case Cyclops isn’t aware of it) on the 25 Jan news update thread? It might get a bit more prominence there. Cheers, Mark |

Hi, everyone. below you will find an extract from the latest news feed of my exchange with Cyclops. I hope they do more than expressing an interest.
Mike Cyclops, I presume that the recovery of download times is due to the servers running out of ARP1 units. Now that you have cleared out those delayed units, will you be attempting to restart the extreme and accelerated units that have been stuck for some time. IBM managed to get previously stuck units going again by reducing the timestep from 36 seconds to 24 seconds. This applies especially to the 3 units stuck in generations 14, 16 & 17, otherwise known as ultra extremes. Mike Hi Mike, the workunits you're referring to are still stuck but members of the team have expressed interest in looking into this issue further. |

Well spotted, Mike! ![]() Also, although I haven't gotten hold of any of them yet, some workunits from generation 142 have been released (and completed successfully, too). ![]() Adri [Edit 1 times, last edit by adriverhoef at Jan 28, 2023 10:06:08 AM] |

Sunday Report
2 of the ultra extremes have moved up a generation. I presume that the other one is being crunched. Thank you, Cyclops. They are currently in generations 15, 16 & 18. I hope they will continue to be re-issued on validation. They are 84 generations behind the last of the other extremes. 12,366 units validated in the week, so an average of 1,766.6 per day, including the 2 ultras but no accelerated. Assuming that a full generation 182 will be the last, there are 1,682,433 units still outstanding. I will re-start my forecasting once Delft have enabled their storage. The definition of normal has moved on a generation to 143 but the other definitions have stayed the same as their leaders have not moved. There are now 38 Extremes and 61 Accelerated units listed as there has been some re-starting. The numbers in their generations are still 1,460 & 4,374. Mike |
