Uh... it looks to me as if you have just started with wcg. I find the numbers all even and systematic.

----------------------------------------I owe you an apology. I thought the statistics you reported looked strange, so I looked them up myself and came up with those that I cut/pasted into my post. Since you posted such a strong reaction, I looked more closely at the data and agree that I was wrong in thinking you had edited the results. The statistics you reported were from 22:18 UTC on 24 October. When I looked up your stats, it was already the next day at 14:07 UTC, so the averages had changed. The strange averages you reported were what they were because you had actually returned 242 results which just coincidentally was the number of days you had been crunching on the World Community Grid explaining why the averages came out the way that they did. Please accept my apology for indicating that you had misrepresented the data. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 29, 2005 1:58:19 PM] |

Sorry to come on strong Dave, I wasn't trying to start anything. The earlier post I referred to ( I really can't be bothered looking it up) showed something similar, and when I saw those stats it really startled me, enough to come here and make a comment. I don't frequent the chat room much, usually only checking the forums for what project may follow the proteins.
BTW, I didn't realise you were quoting *my* stats in there, until I checked. It was Feb I started, I thought May. Apology fully accepted, and sorry to cause ripples. Ian |

Thanks for accepting my apology and, you didn't respond too strongly in my opinion -- the fault was all mine. I am glad you took issue with me as it made me look more closely at the statistics so that the strange figures are now explainable. -- Dave |
