There's a new version of Boinc for Android 7.16.5 which was released yesterday. This looks to be a a normal release and not a Beta. As usual its available on Playstore. I've installed it on a couple of Android 6 devices and so far it looks O.K. I'm holding fire on any further installations until there's more feedback.
EDIT, This version has now been removed from Playstore. Full of bugs sadly.
