I have a suggestion; along-side the Progress-indicator I would like to see an estimated remaining run-time / Time to completion of the Task my Grid Agent currently is crunching. The reason for this is that is that prior to Shut Down of my machine I often check the Grid Agent to see if it is close to complete the current Task, and if so I leave it running for yet an hour. An estimated Time to complete would probably make others think like me ⇒ better utilization of the Grid. It is not a rocket-science accurate calculation I am after. More like a simple; Every time the 'Task Execution Progress' Pct change then calculate a new 'Remaining CPU Time':
TimeElapsed * ( 1 - PctCompleted ) ───────────────── PctCompleted and have the 'Remaining CPU Time' work as a clock count-down. The "Primary Task Information" could be extended with a minimal: This is my modest idea. Use it or disregard.. Hilsen, Peer Wandel Hansen ─────────── Iѕ а〢 Ше Ѕее оя Ѕеем, А Δяеам Шітніи а Δяеам .. |
