My machine has run a few FAAH2 work units lately (and one of them right now). In the past, the boinc manager reported that it ran these at high priority, presumably because the deadline was only 24 hours after they were received. Now everything seems the same, but they are running normally, as far as I can tell.
----------------------------------------I wonder why that is. ![]() |

It may be that you've changed (reduced) the size of your cache, or that it arrived when you din't have any other work that needed to be pre-empted to get it to run. You'd have to dig around on the interwebs for information on the precise algorithm; I'm afraid I don't know the details.

"It may be that you've changed (reduced) the size of your cache..."
----------------------------------------Nope. I recently raised it from 25 GBytes to 80 GBytes. "or that it arrived when you din't have any other work that needed to be pre-empted to get it to run." That is possible. ![]() |

"It may be that you've changed (reduced) the size of your cache..." Sorry, not specific enough. By "cache" I meant "The number of days of work to be stored". But it sounds like you already have your answer. |
