SCC and Zika have been the only two to run on Android for awhile. The others are too big in size for smartphone processors.

Wish there was some way they could have android tasks that run on processors that can handle large tasks.

Re: No new tasks since 04/07

ZIKA will be ending in a couple of weeks it seems, and SCC may be out of work units for a while. So I guess that there will be a lot of Android devices that will be out of work for a while.

Techs: we need more Android-capable projects.

Re: No new tasks since 04/07

Can confirm I'm also getting no tasks at all, 28th October. I even have that box checked, the one that says send me anything if my projects of choice are unavailable, but I'm still getting no tasks.

Until SCC returns, there are no other projects for Android.

Re: No new tasks since 04/07

According to WU Prop, the projects with shortest run times for Android are Moo! Wrapper (Cryptography) and Seti@Home (Little Green Men). For instance, a Samsung Galaxy S6 takes a little over 2 hours for a Moo! Wrapper unit, and about 4 hours for a Seti unit.

To explore Boinc projects available for Android, explore here: http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/results/arm.py? Check under Arm Devices in the pop out menu on the left.
