Got 4, 2 currently running on i7-3770K @ 3.6GHz under Win7-x64.
----------------------------------------Initial run-time estimate was 57 min (!) The one that's run longest was at 4.48% complete after 44min. Extrapolating to 100% gives 16.4h. I think the initial estimates might be a little off :) Windows Task Manager shows Memory "working set" for these monsters is 713MB each, so 8 of them won't fit on an 8-thread machine like a 3770K if it has only 4MB of RAM, which is the situation on 1 of my machines. I think this would be worth mentioning in the sign-up form for The New Project. [Edit:] Deadline was 4 days for first small batch, then increased to 7 days. Resends have 4-day deadlines. For this project batches will be 100 work units each. We have initially loaded only the first batch so there are 200 tasks that have already been claimed. We wanted to start things slow to make sure we didn't miss anything in the prep. I will be loading the additional batches in the next hour or so.
The first batch was loaded with 4 day deadlines. We will extend this to 7 day deadlines for the additional batches since these are longer running tasks. Thanks, armstrdj |

Is there anything special you'd like us to test on these other than the normal stress gauntlet of stopping/killing tasks/etc since they're large like loading some large applications to use up the RAM? |
