Re: How much time do I have to return the result?

smile Hi Matt3223

If you look in the WorldCommunityGrid Directory
You will see 2 files named cs.ud and ud_?????? [substitute file # for question marks]
Both these files have no extensions and these files are date and time stamped when they were received by your system
Just refer to these two files to find out when you started your latest work unit
I hope this info helps

Regards

This should be clarified.

ud_##### is the workunit. The timestamp on this file is when you received it from the server.

The cs.ud is not a file that's downloaded. It's updated periodically for various reasons. One of those reasons is when you download a new workunit so it make have the same timestamp...but not always.

Re: How much time do I have to return the result?

All Right!! Rick Alther has answered the question here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...?thread=574&offset=20
Just as David supposed, the timeout is 2 weeks of CPU Time and 3 weeks of Wall Clock time.

I can certainly attest to the two week limit:

http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...?thread=857&offset=20

but I do have a question. "The Killer" terminated after 336 hours of CPU time, but the work unit was not complete. Does that mean that those 336 hours were wasted? Since one of my installs is on a relatively slow 400MHz Pentium II, should I watch for another killer and force termination?
