user manual?

Is there such a thing as a user manual for boinc WCG or a forum that substitutes for such. I have tried searching for info on "switch computer" and "device profile" and others but cannot get coherent info.

Try clicking on "Help" at the top of this screen.

Re: user manual?

"Help" has already been mentioned and will tell you about the WCG screens and the way it uses BOINC. If you want more detailed info on BOINC itself, go to https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/User_manual

But feel free to ask questions on here. There's usually someone who can help.

Agree with Apis. If there is anything in particular you would like to know, just ask here. Lots of friendly people on here willing to help people figure out the software.

Re: user manual?

Thanks to you all. At the moment there is nothing specific. I do plan to add a dedicated device and want to limit it to specific wcg projects.
Incidentally my profile lists several installations that are historical and inactive. I was curious as to what certain options did The answer was not apparent

Re: user manual?

Unfortunately there is no way to remove old installations. Eventually they will disappear off your stats history, but will still show up as an installation on your My Contribution page.
