ALS is not one of WCG's diseases so I'll post this here.
Australian scientists have found a drug that appears to slow the progress of ALS motor neurone disease by up to 70 per cent, based on an initial test group of 32 patients. The drug aims to attack the cause of the disease rather than the symptoms. Treatment involves taking one tablet a day. A further test involving 80 patients will take place later this year. Scientists wonder if it may also have some application to Parkinson's Disease. https://newatlas.com/als-mnd-drug-clinical-trial-success/58026/ |
