shock Project progression problem

I set my computer to accept missions of SCC only, and after about 6 hours I found out that other missions flooded in.
I checked out the website "Research" page, and saw a "100%" under this project's description.
Is this project completed?

Re: Project completed?

I just changed my preferences on my current machine and got 8 new tasks. It is a windows machine. What OS are you running? If you want to only run SCC, un-tick the box in your profile that says "if there is no work for this project, send work from other projects" or something to that effect.
Edit: I am set to run SCC only, and not to get other tasks. Your system may have asked for more work when there was nothing left in the hopper. And according to the December update, admins have said there will be more SCC work.
Edit2: see this post indicating there is more work for SCC.

Re: Project completed?

Unable to link to the web pages ATM, since stats are being updated. But where and how did you specify SCC as the project you want?

Re: Project completed?

in "My Contribution", click "My Projects" and select the project(s) you want.

On the My Projects page, click on the Device Manager link. From there, you see what profile your PC is using AND if it is the project(s) you specified.

Re: Project completed?

Since we all know there's a problem in the progression displayed on the website, is there any possible way to make it right? Or, is this project's total computation power requirements impossible to conclude?
Still worrying about opening my computer one day and saw the project's sudden end...

Re: Project completed?

There is plenty of work to do but that progression display is strange for now. I would not stress about work suddenly stopping for this project. To quote a tech in early December:
Hello,

The project is absolutely not finishing in two weeks, or any time soon.

The project bar completion rates bounce around if researchers run through one set of work units before sending us the next set(s). These researchers are definitely sending us more.

On a more general note, now that OET is complete on WCG, none of the other projects are slated to end soon, either. Please take the project completion bars with a grain of salt.

Thanks,
Caiti

And again in mid December:
We had a call with the SCC researchers this evening.

The team recently met in person in Hong Kong to discuss the project. (Since they're located in three different countries, this is a very rare meeting!) They discussed the project work flow as well as plans for the future. Once their plans are finalized, we'll start making announcements.
They are building new work units which should last into January. At that time, they'll start running new work units simulating different targets.

And don't forget to click "Save" at the bottom. I have a couple of times in the past as the button was off the bottom of my screen.
