I have a stuck WU on a remote PC, that has been running for 12 days.
----------------------------------------My computer would usually have sent it back completed within a day of being downloaded. When will BOINC timeout the WU? I can't access the PC for another 8 days, to reset / abort it. TIA Patrick  |

The job is supposed to time out when it reaches like a ten-fold of the estimated cpu time it was given on assignment. Don't know when it's stuck... not using cpu time, just wall-clock time.

I would hope the server would tell the client to abort the WU once the server has a quorum but don't know for sure if that is the case. Of course, if it is really "stuck", then even the client may not be able to abort it short of restarting the client or a reboot of the machine.

You should've installed TeamViewer or somethin' so you could go in and cancel it. But some info for now:
-----------------------------------------I know most PrimeGrid subprojects auto-abandon tasks after 4x the estimated deadline; not sure about here. Looks like your other cores (if you have them) will have to go on alone for now :(  |

Typically got another HSTB WU stuck while I'm away. Could have done with the 10 days of credit for it.
