Ive just set up an old Vista laptop with BOINC v.7.12.1 with the express intention of running WCG on it, but, when I try to do so, I get the error "Failed to Add Project, please try again later"
Is there an issue at the moment? Ive managed to successfully add another project (Accoustics@H) on this machine, and also earlier this afternoon added WCG successfully to my Android phone |

well, unless something has just changed on the servers, it looks like ive found the problem!
I noticed the laptops clock was out by several hours, so went to sync it to a time server and discovered the date was out by over a decade! As a result the windows time service was not running. Manually set the time and date, and suddenly the project would communicate! The internet time servers are visible now as well. |

The internet time servers are visible now as well. Maybe the battery clock is dead and it was set back to 1970? WCG may allow some time drift between what's reported by computer and what the server time is (maybe a few minutes?) but not decades! ;) |
