The Download Link on https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/reg/ms/viewDownloadAgain.do links to an outdated version of BOINC for Mac OS that will not list or connect successfully to World Community Grid.

The versions of BOINC listed on the download page are the current WCG version. These are now quite old but it has been mentioned in other posts that there is some work going on to adopt a newer version of BOINC. No timeline has been given for adopting the new version but it has to go through various processes before it would be put onto the download site.
You are free to download a newer version from the BOINC site and it should work with WCG just without the WCG branding. |

I've had good luck using BOINC 7.10 on macOS 10.12.6 and I used 7.12 on macOS 10.13 on my Mac Book Pro. I crunch for team BiblePay WCG.
