Community interest in a Discord server?

I know a few other projects, like Primegrid, have their own servers alongside the fourms. I think it would be a good thing to use personally; kind of a one stop shop for things, instant replies to messages, etc. What do you all think?

I'd say make it a private effort if you want.

Forum has search engine advantage. You get a lot of new visitors from Google referrals. Discord is still good for interactive troubleshooting or just hangout/chatting. There is no search engine visibility so all that content is not a marketing tool.
