confused Windows 10 x64 1803 registering as Windows 8.1

The newest Windows installer on the website reports three of my new installs of Windows 10 1803 as a version of Windows 8.1.

Should that be of concern?

Had the same problem. Fixed it by updating BOINC software.

Re: Windows 10 x64 1803 registering as Windows 8.1

Its a known issue with the older version of the BOINC client used by WCG and isn't something to be overly worried about. WCG obviously aren't. wink

Having said that, WCG are in the process of updating the client to a newer version (mentioned here ) which, I assume, will correctly identify Win10.
