Hello Captain keithhenry, Base Camp is ready to begin the challenge style trek here at or around 0000 August 6. Would you keep tabs on how the Base Camp crew does compared to your faithful members here? Are there anything you would like us to do - house rules, whatever? I'll try to keep an eye on the Base Campers who join - for nothing else, because they shall have their badge.  We look forward to a good and fair match  Well, it would seem I should if only to be a proper host! As for the "bull in the china shop" question, I would love to count tanner2 here on the MOT side just as you would on the BC side. I suspect we can both come up with valid points for both views. In the interests of good hospitality, I am going to take a cue from today's politically correct elementary schools where everyone gets an award on awards day and there are no losers. I will track MOT and BC with tanner2 in each though not at the same time. Perhaps we can both "win" this way and everyone gets to brag! So we'll have MOTwt2 vs BCnt2 and MOTnt2 vs BCwt2. Truth be told, the only winners that really matter are those that will benefit from the results of all our crunching when the scientists get thru their research process. As for house rules, it's free hookup for everyone's RV, an open bar, and enjoy your stay. One note, bail money is your own responsibility however. In line with our long-standing policy of once a MOTer, always a MOTer, the normal recognition is extended to all during any and all time you spend here at MOT, now and in the future. A extra thank you to LM and tanner2 for (re)joining us prior to today's stats run so that your crunching for today was counted towards MOT. Welcome BladeD as well. All of you are welcome to make MOT your home team for between treks after your trek here. It's not my intent to poach but we welcome anyone here anytime. |

Captain keithhenry, thank you very much for your opening speech.
I like this one in particular: I will track MOT and BC with tanner2 in each though not at the same time. And your reasoning for the four-prong bookkeeping  I wouldn't mind if you for simplicity simply add tanner2's contribution to MOT's. In advance I had thought of it that way, but will, of course, in the name of nepotism give tanner2 a badge.
