Is the real-time clock on the Statistics server off?

I think I first noticed this after the March 5 database maintenance, but it seems like the clock in both the stats server as well as the servers that distribute work units may be off by one hour.

For example, looking at the Stats page:
Statistics Last Updated: 3/9/18 12:06:02 (UTC) [1 hour(s) ago]

The server says it was last updated at 12:06:02 UTC when in reality it was updated at 13:06:02 UTC.

  • i5-4590 (Haswell, 4C/4T) @ 3.3 GHz
  • E5800 (Wolfdale, 2C/2T) @ 3.2 GHz

Re: Is the real-time clock on the Statistics server off?

The reference time for the WCG infrastructure is always UTC !!!
Based on your message, I assume you are located in central Europe (CET = UTC + 1).
Cheers,
Yves

That's not what I was saying. I'm saying when the statistics server did its update at 12:06 UTC, it really did it at 13:06 UTC, meaning it was one hour slow.

After I made this thread, and looking at the most recent update (March 10, 2018 @ 00:06:02), the clock appears to be back to normal.

I'll verify if the server distributing WUs is in sync and report back -- it was also off by one hour.

Edited to Add: After the change to Daylight Savings Time in the USA, it appears the server distributing Work Units is now correct. For some reason, it was 1 hour ahead for the past week.
