Re: --TOGETHER--

If i ever come to Seattle, can i come bye and have a taste? biggrin

Pconfig --

Of course you may! I am a bit of a distance from Seattle though. Raleigh is about 3000 miles from Seattle and perhaps 8 or 900 miles from New York. The only intenational flights out of our airport are to and from Gatwick in the UK. I am actually brewing a batch as I write this. I had a few minutes to spare as I wait for the pot to come to a boil.

Haha nice. I'll remember if i ever make a trip to the USA i'll be there wink

Morning Graham

I think they are all suffering from Linux Agent shock wink

We made it to 260 years today how long did it take us to add the latest 10 years?

I'm suffering at work they have given me my cards after only 6 weeks in the new job. I'm apparantly not technical enough LOL.

Oh the irony.

Happy Crunching

Hey davey boy!

Sorry to hear about the news on the job front! If your not technical then I'm pope :0)

What do they know anyway? they think cables are made out of diamonds! Crazyness I tell you!

I'm thinking about going to the local zoo to talk to them about loading the new client onto there penguins? Is there any minimum requires such as height or how much fish they can process in a day?

Hi Jonathon - no worries biggrin

Apparantly you can only load the new client on an X86 Emperor Penguin

Don't try it on a Rockhopper

That's just cruel

Re: smile smile smile Join "My Online Team" Today smile smile smile

Hi all!
I think they are all suffering from Linux Agent shock wink

For me that's true. But back I am -- added 5 clients with a total of 9 CPUs.

BOINC is cool in that regard, it starts as many client instances as you
have CPUs (counting HTT CPUs as 2). And the BOINC client can download
multiple work units so you tell him (in your WCG device profiles) that you
want the client to connect to the server only once every 7 days (e.g. for
a laptop you use all week but only plug in on weekends) and it will take
care of that wish if possible.

Now I will check if the Linux client performs better than the virtualized
Windows clients -- if so, I will replace them. I also have 2 more HTT
CPUs for our IBM eServer -- another four clients to come soon!

Then I have to find some time to setup that half dozen new computers
for staff soon to come...

Up with the points!!! biggrin biggrin biggrin

Best, Stefan.

Re: smile smile smile Join "My Online Team" Today smile smile smile

Good morning (at least it still is morning here in the US). Graham -- looks like you stirred the pot this morning -- lots of posts!

Dave -- I hope your search doesn't plunk you back on the M25. Sorry to hear it didn't work out there for you.

Stefan -- I'm looking forward to seeing more points coming in from you now with the Linux agent up and running.

I have ordered another primary fermentation bucket and an additional carboy for secondary fermentation for my homebrew. Here is my current production line:

With the additional equipment, I should be able to have 25 gallons in various stages of fermentation! That will get me far enough ahead in the game that I should be able to brew some beers that have to age longer.
